A graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, Carrie brings a non-traditional, eclectic approach to her coaching and consulting work. After launching her career as a copywriter at TBWA/Chiat/Day Advertising and gaining experience in PR and marketing, she helped to launch the Community Management practice at Yelp and Google, ran the Philadelphia branch of the world's largest creative staffing firm and led talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development efforts for some of Philadelphia's top advertising, digital and branding agencies.
Carrie is one of the founding organizers of DisruptHR Philadelphia and has served on the board of AIGA Philadelphia; she also speaks frequently on People Operations topics and was a Thought Leader at the 2018 Pennsylvania Conference for Women. She is a formally trained and certified Leadership and Personal Development Coach through iPEC, accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF), which helps to inform her impactful work with businesses and individuals. She’s also a Certified Yoga Teacher with an additional certification as a Y12SR Leader as well as a Reiki practitioner and energetic healer who enjoys incorporating alternative modalities into her coaching practice when appropriate. Carrie is currently writing a book to help creative thinkers and makers cultivate greater work/life harmony and prevent burnout.
Carrie lives in Philadelphia and is the proud mom of two adult daughters. In her free time, she enjoys meditation, yoga, hiking, travel and spending time with her best friend, the television.
